About Foundation Nova Diem
A new day for how we understand people
Nova Diem means new day. We started this foundation because the tools people are usually handed to understand themselves are either too shallow to be useful or too guarded to be trusted. We wanted something different: assessment work built in the open, with real discipline behind it, that treats the person taking it as the whole point rather than a data point.
Why we exist
Built on strengths, held to evidence
Foundation Nova Diem exists to build psychological tools that start with strengths and patterns, not categories and labels. We think people deserve language for how they think, relate, respond and grow, delivered in plain terms, and we think the organisations and professionals supporting those people deserve a clear, traceable account of where every result comes from.
That is why we hold our own work to a standard we are happy to have inspected. Scoring behaviour is versioned. Computational results are checked against fixed references. Every claim we make about our own work is matched to the evidence behind it. We think that kind of discipline is what makes psychological insight worth trusting, and it is the foundation everything else we build stands on.
We don't just identify potential, we unlock it. That is the whole reason Foundation Nova Diem exists.

The discipline behind the care
We lead with what our work does for people, not with hedges about what it cannot yet prove. We build for the person in front of us, not for a category they might belong to. We treat rigour as a selling point rather than a disclaimer: every scoring pathway is versioned, every computational result is checked, and every claim we publish is traceable back to real evidence. Where the evidence is still developing, we say so plainly, once, and move on, because telling people what we don't yet know is itself part of the standard we hold ourselves to.

Our board
Foundation Nova Diem is governed by a board of directors, guided by an advisory board, and run day-to-day by our staff. Foundation Nova Diem is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), ABN 52 664 857 827, and holds Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
