How Lux works
From invitation to insight.
Lux is Foundation Nova Diem's strengths-first assessment. It's built to help people understand strengths, patterns and potential in language suited to reflection, not judgement. Here's what actually happens, from the invitation to the report you receive.

Someone invites you to take part
An organisation or professional supporting you sends an invitation to complete Lux, Foundation Nova Diem's strengths-first assessment.
2. Consent
You decide, on your own terms
Before anything happens, you're asked to give informed consent: what Lux involves, who sees your results, and that taking part is your choice.
3. Complete Lux
You work through Lux at your own pace
Lux asks about how you think, relate, respond and grow. Lumen, the secure platform behind it, guides you through it and keeps your responses safe.
4. Receive your report
You get insight written for you
You receive a plain-language report about your own strengths and patterns, written for reflection and conversation, not judgement.
What you receive
Insight written for the person reading it
Participants receive a carefully curated subset of their profile, written to support reflection and growth.
Authorised clinicians receive deeper technical decision support to use alongside participant history, context and independent professional judgement.
Those two reports are deliberately different documents. A clinician's report is not shown to a participant, and it is never a diagnosis or a substitute for that clinician's own professional judgement.

We publish what the evidence currently supports
Lux is descriptive, not diagnostic, predictive or a personnel-selection instrument. It's moving through an active, staged evidence-development programme, and we're careful to only claim what current evidence actually supports.

Lux produces 301 defined participant-level fields across 19 layers. These are computed fields, not 301 questions or 301 separately validated constructs.
Lumen is the secure platform that administers Lux: it connects a participant's invitation with consent, assessment, governed scoring, and the right report for the right audience. This is a description of Lumen's intended role, not a claim about any particular deployment, pilot, data location, retention period or live operating environment.
The active programme combines ongoing testing of versioned scoring and committed fixtures with staged Lux-specific empirical evaluation. Technical checks make the scoring pathway more inspectable; they do not by themselves establish psychological reliability or validity.
